This is so sad. David lived with this illness for such a long time. Even when we met last, in not the best of circumstances, you were funny and positive also not realising you had been sitting next to your cousin Nick in St James both waiting to see the medics hoping for some positive treatment. We are so sorry that we never got to bring our families together as planned as the man you became was obviously much loved by so many people. I just remember the little blond boy I used to take for adventures on the bus to see Grandma and Grandad Charlton. Your dad was so proud of you and so loved going to visit you for a slap up meal and a glass of wine or two. Always had a story to tell about you when he came to see us afterwards.
